In August 2022 the UK Intellectual Property Office published findings and evidence from a consultation around Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) – found here.
The responses to UK IPO included a number from organisations that support SMEs with IP and innovation activities, including Cubicibuc Limited. However the UK IPO felt they “did not hear sufficient evidence directly from UK SMEs, small-cap and mid-cap businesses, including their experiences of interacting or using technical standards when innovating”, and are now inviting smaller businesses, SME, small-cap and mid-cap innovators to respond to a short questionnaire.
